New Emoticons! With more Emoti!!

I've created a series of emoticons based on the typical ones, except mine have noses. Revolutionary? Arguable. Mad genius?? Perhaps. Guy with a misplaced sense of priorities? Could be.
I just prefer these to the original ones. They emote more.
Here they are conveniently named for no good reason except that I'm attached to them and I've imagined they have personalities. For example, Vern's a bit of a know-it-all, Umberto's a conservative, Ned's a liberal, and Ozzie's a creative type, and Carl is a good-natured goof. The great thing about the first 5 guys is that they work in both directions. Don't ask me why that's a good thing, but it is.
These are open source (is a horse of course) of course. Spread the seeds of emotirevolution!

I'm adding an emoticomic at the end.

:o) Hey, Carl! What's wrong!
:c( I don't like how I look in some fonts, man!

:v0 Greetings, losers. What's up?
:o| Carl's upset about fonts.
:c( The serif ones just don't suit me. I'm all about the sans, man.

:vD That sounds like Arial pain! You must be going through Helvetica!
:o° Oh, no you di'nt.
:cf I just threw up in my mouth.

Lazy Day

Had a lazy day today. Been working on high gear for a while now. Guess I needed a break. Today's monster: "Chicken of the Sea".

Starry-eyed heroes of Akira 'Leiji' Matsumoto

Hello, friends and manga-philes.      You probably know that my interest in Japan was originally fueled by a combined interest in Japanese animation and martial arts. My interests expanded somewhat over the years, but one big change happened about the age of 15 when I bought my first Japanese collected comic. From that moment on, I became more interested in comics than animation and eventually after moving to Japan, I started to collect the comics of Mr. Leiji Matsumoto .       At first, I was put off by the heavy-lined art and blocky characters, but the more I got into the stories, the less I cared about the style. Eventually, though, I started to appreciate the artistry much in the same way it took me a while to warm to Jack Kirby's art.      Like most Leiji fans, I was heavy into Space Cruiser Yamato , Captain Harlock , Queen Emeraldas , and finally, Galaxy Express 999 . These comics were created in the 70's and are representative of ...

Tokyo Musume

In just a few days my first solo exhibition will open in Tokyo. July 16th to my birthday July 21st. I'm very excited and more than a bit nervous. The theme is Tokyo Musume (Tokyo Girls) . I'll also display several works from the 100 robots series which I have up on comicspace . I'm also a complete wreck trying to complete a design job for a big publishing company (logo for an online comic) and the opening to a tv show for another big company all while trying to finish more artwork for the show. The pic you see here is the postcard/flyer for the show. Also is a larger view of the map. If you are in Japan, you can find Gallery House Maya very easily. At Gaienmae station, take Exit 3 and go straight to the cross signal. Cross and turn right. You should pass a Family Mart on the left. Take the first left. After about 3 minutes you should see Maya on your right. It's a small house/gallery flanked by two large bushes. The gallery requests that no one sends flowers, but genero...
